CPU load v sample time

Does the predefined maximum loop length affect CPU usage at all or is it just what you actually use?

It affects memory allocation only. So if you've got plenty of RAM to spare, there is no downside to setting that predefined max pretty big. One thing to note is that memory space is used for all undo history as well, so a bigger number there means more space for undo even if all your loops are short.

On the other side, if you record a loop that is more than half the maximum loop memory you won't have any undos available if you apply any operation to that loop.
